Changed access to the construction area in Kópavogur town center
The work area plan for Traðarreitur has been approved. Consequently, changes to the access of the construction site will take effect.
The goal is to ensure safety in the area and to create space for ongoing construction.
New signage in the area
It is important to keep in mind that the project is extensive and that access to the area will develop and change alongside its progress. Efforts will be made to keep access to homes, businesses, and services as good as possible at any given time.
No permanent fencing or earthworks until a building permit is issued
The installation of fixed permanent fencing in the area will not begin until the project's first building permit has been issued. This refers to the building permit for the first phase, which is the basement of the development.
Utility work begins in October
While preparations are underway, utility work is expected to begin in the southwestern corner of the area in October-November. This work does not require a building permit and will be carried out in consultation with Vatnsveita Kópavogs (Kópavogur Water Works) and Veitur.
