Demolition on the western Traðarreitur block is about to begin

The contractor Jáverk has received permission from the municipality of Kópavogur to begin demolition on the western Traðarreitur site. In the coming days, the buildings on the site will be demolished. Materials will then be sorted and transported away.

It should be noted that assessments of the buildings for asbestos contamination have been carried out and no signs of such contamination were found, and that no blasting is starting on the western Traðarreitur site at this time.
