This week, the contractor will begin clearing the interior of the buildings, focusing on elements that do not require a building permit. This includes fixtures, non-load-bearing walls, and flooring.

Assessments of the buildings for asbestos contamination have been completed, and no signs of such contamination were found. Approval has also been granted by the Health Protection Authority for Garðabær, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur, Mosfellsbær, and Seltjarnarnes (HEF).
